Czech Gravel Cup – part of the Gravel Bohemia Cup 2024 (GBC)

Registration:  Saturday 18.5.2024 from 7:30 to 10:00 

                        Friday 17.5.2024 from 17:00 to 19:00 h , ibid. 

Start of all categories: main cat. 11:00 h 5 laps/ Junior cat at 11:03 h 3laps / MTB open GS at 11:05h 4laps 

Track: It is uniform, length of the circuit: 11 km, number of circuits according to category (main 5 circuits, i.e. 55 km)

Prescription:  

The surface and profile of the track are suitable – designed for gravel bikes.  ( MTB can be used in an open race outside the GBC) 

The race takes place under partially restricted traffic on lower class roads (90% unpaved) and agricultural work. All participants ride at their own risk and must wear a bicycle helmet. They start at their own risk and expense, they are obliged to obey the instructions of the organizers. The organizer is not liable for any damage incurred or caused by the participants. The organizer reserves the right to make necessary technical changes to the race schedule, this due to unforeseen circumstances. 

Helmets used in competitions and during the training process must be approved and comply with cycling safety standards. These helmets must be used to protect the head. A participant without a protective helmet will not be allowed to start the race and if the helmet is not worn during the race, he will be disqualified, withdrawn by the organizers. 

Any garbage should be disposed of only in the designated zone. (tubes, gels, etc.). Non-compliance – disqualification. 

Permitted wheel size for Gravel BC:  700c (28″) and 650b (27.5″). The width of the tires must be at least 33 mm (40 mm or more is recommended). Ram handlebars, max. width 480 mm. 

All bicycles used in each category must be powered by human power only. ( also applies to MTB open ) 

The starting number (GBC 2x) is placed on the back of the jersey approximately in the place of the pockets (GBC only) and in the front on the handlebars (or under them), while it is forbidden to adjust the size of the number (and profile). The chip is located on the front fork, on the right. (the chip is borrowed, it is returned after the race!). 

Application:  

Race limit: 200 gravel – GBC starters, 50 MTB open GS starters, registered online. 
Online registration – from 01.01.2024 to 18.05.2024. The amount of the entry fee depends on the timeliness of registration and its payment. 

On-line – at the venue on the day of the race, until 10:00 a.m. (only until the maximum capacity of 200 gravel/50 MTB people/. You can pay by card or QR on the spot. 

Logging in by phone or email is not possible! 

The application is valid only after payment of the entry fee! 

Each competitor who does not pay the entry fee from his/her account or pays for more competitors, please state in the note the name of the starter(s) for whom the entry fee is paid. 

Competitor category: / in accordance with the rules of the Gravel Bohemia Cup 2024/ 

The year of birth is decisive for inclusion in the category! (with the exception of licensed so-called aged ones) 

The organizer reserves the right for junior performance cyclists to be so-called aged and placed in the main categories of men and women. 

The entry fee in EUR is indicative, the EUR exchange rate, which is set at 24 CZK/EUR, is then calculated automatically from the system in the confirmation email.

Buffet and drinks on the course, food at the finish. Showers. 

Health service. 

Cultural program. 

Measuring time – will take place by chip method + camera (see – number on the back) 

Announcement of results: 

It will take place in the start and finish area after the limit of 1 hour of arrival in all categories – to 3rd place, approx. after 14:00. They will be posted on the website no later than the day after the race. 

Financial reward for the winners of individual GBC categories (except Junior): 

1st place = 2.000 CZK| 2nd place = 1.000 CZK | 3rd place = 500 CZK 

Junior: 1st place = 1000 CZK| 2nd place = 800 CZK | 3rd place = 500 CZK 

GS organizer’s bonus for the absolute winner of the main gravel race 55 km – overall ranking men/women: 

1st place = 3.000 CZK| 2nd place = 2.000 CZK | 3rd place = 1.000 CZK 

(Max. limit of this financial bonus bonus 2nd-3rd place: 10 min of the winner of cat.) 

The first three competitors in each category will also be rewarded with a GS medal (gold, silver, bronze) with material prizes. 

The organizer reserves the right to announce a category outside the GBC series at the place of the race.
